after digging through a pile of old cds, i’ve found an album that i almost forgot that i have it.
this is the album “one wish,” the second album from canadian r&b artist deborah cox released in 1998 under arista record. the overall album is quite good, its sales figure went platinum with hit single “nobody’s supposed to be here” which remained on the top of billboard hot r&b chart for fourteen weeks. after that she released her third single from the same album “we can’t be friends” which also topped the r&b chart for two weeks.
however my favorite song in this album ain’t any of those hit songs…
i much prefer ordinary track like “couldn’t we,” written by dianne warren.
good rhythm, great meaning.
