ah, this is an impulse blogging. it’s been a while that i haven’t blogged anything about work. after seeing @escribitionist, it’s made me realize this and this.

i designed these business cards two years ago while i was working there. it was fun because everyone wants to be distinguish. so i use color to differentiate between them. all other business cards used the form of top one with different colors and minor changes except mine, lol. i don’t want mine to look too formal.

anyway i only gave a few out because mostly i only worked in the office, not meeting with any human outside my realm. now it’s become unusable because i am currently not working with plato and my current cellphone number is no longer the same as printed on that card.

plato trendbook 2007 : size 20 x 20cm, 52 pages

note: i mentioned about this trendbook earlier. this trendbook was such a rush job because it had to be ready for tiff 2007 (march 7-11, 2007) i received all the photos on march 1^st and the printing process required five days to complete which meant that i must finish designing and prepare all the files needed by march 2^nd. so i worked continuously from 10am. on march 1^st to 6am. the next day. there was no time left. i didn’t even have time to prove the colors before printing… five days later, it turned out to be just okay, there were some mistakes which should be corrected though. below is a collection of sample pages (click on the image to enlarge)

just got back from photo shoot session for new catalogue / trendbook 2007. so tired! the photos above were taken by me with my point-n-shoot camera. the real stuff? let’s just leave that in the hand of professional photographer. well, that’s all for today, i’m heading to bed now. last but not least, many thanks to mustard films for providing your spaces… you guys are wonderful and we all love the ad that you’ve made for us!

in the early ideas, there was bird’s nest placing under the furniture. but the cost for constructing an extra large bird’s nest is kinda expensive, so we had to cut it off. then we selected three animals to incorporate with the furniture itself; persian cat, siberian dog, and owl. these photos were taken by professional photographer around the end of october 2006. we have made them into series of three, the first ad is placed in december issue of wallapaper magazine. the second one is for elle decoration magazine.

p.s. among those three animals, … a polar bear was brought up to the initial concept as well, but then dropped off. where could we find a nice polar bear in thailand?

wallpaper for andaman collection. the actual color is different than the conceptual design. since it’s printed on semi-transparent material, all the white part is a bit difficult to see. the actual size is 3.3m x 3m… and i think they put too many items in the front, too crowded!
