even though adam lambert did not win the american idol, there’s no doubt that his voice is incredibly amazing. every week he came up on stage with excellent rendition of cover songs in his own style. he’s already got the record deal and we can expect an album from him within this year! let’s hope it’s not a trashy album like previous american idols…

here’s the song “a change is gonna come” performed by adam lambert. the song was originally released in 1964 by r&b singer/songwriter sam cooke after his death.

i was born by the river in a little tent
and just like that river i’ve been running ever since
it’s been a long, long time coming
but i know a change is gonna come, oh yes it will

it’s been too hard living, but i’m afraid to die
i don’t know what’s out there beyond the sky
it’s been a long, long, long time coming
but i know a change is gonna come, yes

and i go to the movies and i go downtown
everybody there keeps telling me don’t you come around
it’s been a long, oh it’s been a long time coming
But i know a change is gonna come oh

then i go, go to my brother
i said brother help me please
he just winds up knockin’ me down
back down on my knees
oh there’s been times that i wanna let you know
but now i know that i, i, i, i…
i can carry on
it’s been a long, long, long, long time coming but I know…
that a change is gonna come
oooh yeah

and here’s his live performance of the song in american idol.
