Pick 3 Lottery System Takes The Guessing Out Of The Lottery

The Pick 3 Lottery by some accounts is the easiest and most played Lottery in the United States and Canada.  The player is asked to pick 3 digits out of ten and match the order of one’s own Pick 3 State Lottery drawn number from 000 to 999.

The chance of doing just that is 1 in 1,000.  This is by far the best odds of winning any Lottery grand prize money.  The player who does it correctly wins $500 for every $1 he or she invests.

When you consider the lottery games and the odds of winning the grand prize, the Pick 3 Lottery is a no-brainer.  The odds of winning the jackpot prize for Mega Millions at 175,711,536 to 1 and the Powerball at 195, 249,054 to 1 are astronomical. Some of the State Lotteries show odds of over 125 million to1 and the Pick 5 Lotteries over 500,000 to 1.  All these out of this world odds make the Pick 3 a bargain basement steal when it comes to playing any Lottery Game.

Yet millions of folks across North America defy the odds against them and keep playing these multi-million lotteries in hopes of winning, but they haven’t won yet.

To put a little down to earth touch to these odds, let me transfer the odds into earthly miles.  The Mega Millions, recently joined by the Powerball in the Illinois Lottery games, has the approximate odds of 175 million to one to win the Jackpot.  The Pick 3 has 1,000 to one odds of winning the Jackpot.

Transfer the odds into miles.  In order to win the QQdewa or the Pick 3 one must first travel the required miles (1,000 to 1).  To appreciate the difference, if you drive 250 miles in a direction, and you are driving uphill, you will have your car battery dead, but you will be able to get on your cell phone to call your friends and family.  In the Pick 3, you are flying blind, driving uphill, making ruthless bets, sometimes doubling up, and in the end it will all catch up and you will not win.

A straight bet, the most simple of bets and also the easiest to win, is the straight bet.  In this bet you bet your favorite digit, or in some cases an odd or even number, and you win if it comes up.  If you do not select your numbers carefully and you fail to bet your numbers, you only win the parlay.

The next bet level is a split bet, where you place two separate bets on the same number, with the hope that they will both win.  The split bet is actually a reverse teaser because you are covering both digits, and therefore, double the payout. To win the parlay, as the name implies, you need to get the first set of numbers correct, and if you screw up, both sets of numbers must win.

The next bet level is a street bet, where you bet three numbers.  In this bet, you are covering three digits, so you win if all three streets collect. If you place your numbers precisely, you can win the top prize, which is $10,000. This street bet is not out of the realm of $1,000, either.

Some of the highest bets in the Pick 3 Lottery are the six number bets, where you bet six individual numbers.  Unlike the other bets in the lottery, you do not win if any of the numbers you bet are not selected.  The odds of winning at this bet are 1 in 333.  Street bets seem to be for the emotionally minded or the those with a hint of greed.

The bet level that seems to irk the majority of bettors is the corner bet, where you pick five numbers in any section of the table.  There are sections of the table that have 25, 30 or even 35 numbers, so you have 9 more numbers to wager on.  If any one of these numbers comes up, you win.  Again, the odds are 1 in 333.

Wagering on the numberspelled in the lottery’s ‘Tall Eight’ section has proven to be popular.  Column bets, where you place 3 or 4 numbers in a straight line across the top of the page, across the whole page or even diagonally, have been popular with readers for decades.

Scatter bets, where you place numbers in 2 or more rows and 4 or 5 numbers in a box, can be rewarding if all of them win.  Unfortunately, the odds are low – only 1 in 1000 – and the payouts are small.
